BioPark Regensburg GmbH is an enterprise of the City of Regensburg and a component of economic development. Our core task is the promotion of biotechnology, medical technology, diagnostics & analytics as well as healthcare at the location and in the region. To this purpose we operate three laboratory buildings on the grounds of the University of Regensburg and from here we coordinate the cluster management of Regensburg Bioregion with currently 61 companies and 4,093 employees in Eastern Bavaria.

Some of our companies, startup ideas and projects deal with the themes of biological energy generation, storage and conversion with the aid of microorganisms (biogas, hydrogen, waste recycling) or the electrification of chemical processes (electrocatalysis, environment).
